Meet Toni James

Meet Toni James, the Las Vegas Drag Legend behind the ceremony.

I have performed professionally since 1988 and legally officiated weddings since 2021. Same sequins. Higher stakes.

The Las Vegas Drag Legend

My show-business training came from live rooms long before drag reached the television mainstream: producing shows in Seattle, becoming Miss Gay Seattle XXIX, taking the stage as Diana Ross, and joining Boylesque at the Sahara. Decades later, I am still working the microphone in Las Vegas. They call me the Las Vegas Drag Legend. I have earned every syllable—and when you start saying your vows, the spotlight is yours. Glamour on me. Attention on you.

On a stage since 1988. In the aisle since 2021.

I have officiated 100+ weddings, and I do not phone it in. I arrive 30 minutes early. I listen closely to what you want the ceremony to feel like, and I know the difference between the moment that wants a laugh and the moment that wants me to hush and let you feel it.

Now, I have a big personality. I am aware. But a big personality is only worth something if you know where to point it, and I am never pointing it at myself. This day is about the two of you, the promise you are making out loud, and everybody who came to witness it. I will bring the glamour, darling. You bring the love. Nobody in that room forgets either one.

Decades of live performance taught me how to read a room, hold a moment, and keep moving when the unexpected happens. That experience matters at a wedding, but it never turns your ceremony into my show. You get steady hands, a clear plan, and enough glamour to make the room sit up and pay attention. Those hands happen to be manicured.

You are the headliner. I am just the one with the microphone.

I marry couples all over Las Vegas. Bring me your venue or ask me for ideas, because I know this city and this city knows me. Ceremonies usually run 10 to 30 minutes. Your guest count is between you and whoever runs your venue. And I am there 30 minutes early, every single time, because a late officiant is somebody’s worst memory and I refuse to be anybody’s worst memory.

Start by checking your date and choosing a free 35-minute phone consultation. Tell me what you are picturing: big and loud, small and tender, or a reception with me on the microphone for the agreed celebration plan. I follow up afterward, help you land on the package that actually fits, and answer the questions you were being too polite to ask. Once the package is confirmed, a 50% deposit secures the date.
